April 16th and my plot plus others nearby are waterlogged again after overnight rain. Never seen it this bad in the 4 years I’ve been on the plot!! 😥

Oh no, that’s so sad. Hope it drains quickly. Do you have any ditches or drainage channels to funnel the water away ? If it floods regularly then raised beds might be a good idea. Stupid weather xx

My sympathies. Some plots on my site get that bad or worse. One plot neighbour has a drainage ditch the length of the plot, wood chip paths and raised beds to get round the problem.

Maybe dig a drainage ditch as was mentioned in another comment. How frustrating when this stops you from getting your seeds and seedlings in. I do love the photograph of your spring bulbs. When I lived in the UK I used to love those first spring bulbs popping up their heads. Very cheery. Thank you for visiting my blog.

How demoralising. Our site has springs that appear all over the place, though they tend to come up most at our end and the past few years, every winter. I’ve been lucky (so far!). I also find that the no dig approach tends to create better drainage than elsewhere, which helps a bit. Worth a go maybe?
